WISY FILTERING PRINCIPLE:
AUTOMATIC DIRT REMOVAL

Wisy WFF 100 Vortex filter
The WISY® WFF100 Vortex filter is designed to filter water from roof areas up to *200m². The advanced design offers users the finest filtration, unique oxygenation, and the easiest cleaning. It is also extremely robust and durable, having a 30t vehicle-duty capacity. As our preferred filter for domestic rainwater systems, it naturally features in our RainSava® rainwater harvesting systems. As it is a completely self-contained unit, and separate from the tank, it is far easier and safer to maintain than most in-tank filters. Even with tanks that are only about 60cm below ground, it is difficult to reach into the tank to get to the filter without kneeling or even lying on the ground. With our Vortex filters, there is no need to access the tank, and the long lifting handle supplied makes for really simple maintenance. So easy access, adding oxygen to the water, and being the finest filter on the market (at 0.28mm) make the VORTEX filter the first choice for any professional rainwater harvesting system.

Wisy WFF 150 Vortex filter
The WISY® WFF150 Vortex filter is designed to filter water from roof areas up to *500m². The advanced design offers users the finest filtration, unique oxygenation, and the easiest cleaning. It is also extremely robust and durable, having a 30t vehicle-duty capacity. Widely used on commercial properties, it naturally features in our RainTech® rainwater harvesting systems. Wisy WFF 300 Vortex filter
This is the largest version of the Wisy Vortex filter, designed specifically for larger buildings. The 300mm diameter inlet pipe makes the filter suitable for roof areas up to 3000m2. The filter efficiency remains above 90% at flows up to 13 litres/second, and the unit can process a maximum flow rate of 80 l/s. The extremely robust construction means it has a gross vehicle weight rating of 60 tonnes, the only filter unit capable of taking heavy goods traffic without the need for a separate chamber. The Wisy Vortex WFF300 filter is supplied complete with a heavy gauge stainless steel base-plate to provide stability when installed below ground. This also enables the filter to be used above ground by having the baseplate span brick pillars or similar.
THE SECRET:
The filter meshes inside WISY’s filters are vertical.
Solids such as leaves, moss or materials from production processes are simply flushed past the filter and washed away.
Thanks to this simple design, the filter screen has a long service life and requires very little maintenance.
This is a crucial advantage over any type of filter with rather horizontal filter surface. They become clogged very quickly and require frequent cleaning.
IT SOUNDS UNBELIEVABLE, BUT IS VERY SIMPLE:
When water falls through a vertical tube, it tends to cling to the inner surface of the tube.
This behavior is caused by adhesion forces which can be exploited to alter the direction of water flow. Solids do not behave in this way, they just fall straight down. Furthermore, they are captured by the fine stainless-steel mesh of the filter. Only clean water can pass into the storage tank or back to the production process.
SAFETY:
The cross-sectional area of the connected tubing does not change at any point inside the filter housing so that larger debris particles can pass straight through. Even a tennis ball washed off the roof cannot block the rainwater pipe.
